A surface trough extends across the eastern Gulf. Latest surface observations indicate light to gentle winds prevail across much of the Gulf waters. Seas are in the 2-3 ft range over the SW gulf and 1-2 ft over the remainder of the Gulf waters. The trough will move westward across the northern Gulf waters, reaching the coast of Texas Fri night. High pressure will build over the northern waters in the wake of the trough this weekend. A surface trough will move westward off the Yucatan Peninsula each evening, and enhance nocturnal winds over the SW Gulf through Tue. ...CARIBBEAN SEA AND TROPICAL N ATLANTIC FROM 07N TO 19N BETWEEN 55W AND 64W... Tropical Depression Two near 10.2N 41.4W 1009 mb at 11 AM EDT moving W at 14 kt. Maximum sustained winds 30 kt gusts 40 kt. The system will move to 10.7N 43.1W this evening, strengthen to a tropical storm near 11.4N 45.2W Fri morning, 12.1N 47.2W Fri evening, 12.9N 49.6W Sat morning, and reach 14.7N 56.6W Sun morning before dissipating early Mon. Latest surface observations indicate strong to near gale force winds over the south central Caribbean, with fresh to strong winds over the northern waters. Moderate to fresh winds prevail over the remainder of the Gulf waters, while moderate winds prevail over the tropical N Atlc forecast waters. A tropical wave in the western Caribbean will move west of the area by Sat. The remnant wave of T.S. Two will enter the eastern Caribbean Sun night, reaching the central Caribbean Tue. Winds will reach near gale force near the coast of Colombia, mainly at night, through Sun night. ...SW N ATLANTIC INCLUDING THE BAHAMAS... A surface trough extends from near Bermuda into the forecast area near 31N71W to 27N76W. Latest surface observations indicate fresh winds over the waters S of 21N north of Hispaniola and the Windward Passage. Light to gentle winds prevail elsewhere. Seas are in the 4-6 ft range in the area of fresh winds. Outside this area and the Bahamas, seas are in the 3-5 ft range. West of the Bahamas, seas are in the 1-3 ft range. The trough will shift NW of the area Fri. High pressure will build across the region in the wake of the trough.
