Widespread showers and thunderstorms are noted over the NW Gulf in relation to a surface trough over eastern Texas. Latest surface observations indicate light to gentle winds prevail over the gulf waters. Seas are in the 2-3 ft range over the SW gulf, and 1-2 ft over the remainder of the gulf waters. A surface trough east of Florida will move westward into the Gulf waters tonight. The trough will shift across the northern waters, reaching the coast of Texas Fri night. A surface trough will move westward off the Yucatan Peninsula each evening, and enhance nocturnal winds over the SW Gulf through Sun. ...CARIBBEAN SEA AND TROPICAL N ATLANTIC FROM 07N TO 19N BETWEEN 55W AND 64W... Latest surface observations indicate fresh to strong winds over the central Caribbean, with moderate to fresh winds prevailing over the remainder of the Caribbean as well as the tropical N Atlc forecast waters. Seas are in the 8-10 ft range over the central Caribbean, 3-5 ft over the western Caribbean, 5-7 ft over the eastern Caribbean, and 6-8 ft over the tropical N Atlc forecast waters. A tropical wave in the western Caribbean will move west of the area late tonight. Another tropical wave in the central Caribbean will reach the western Caribbean Thu and move west of the area by Sat. Winds will reach near gale force near the coast of Colombia, mainly at night, tonight through Fri night.
