Weak high pressure riding along 26N will change little through the period. Otherwise, a trough will emerge off the W coast of the Yucatan Peninsula each night enhancing nocturnal winds in the SW gulf through Mon. ...CARIBBEAN SEA AND TROPICAL N ATLANTIC FROM 07N TO 19N BETWEEN 55W AND 64W... A tropical wave along 79W will move into Central America by Fri evening. A vigorous tropical wave well east of the forecast waters over the far eastern Atlantic will move across the tropical North Atlantic Sat and reach the eastern Caribbean Sun. The wave will be attendant by scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms are expected with the wave. High pressure in the western Atlantic will support fresh to locally strong trade winds in the central Caribbean, reaching near gale force off the coast of Colombia each night through Sun. A recent altimeter pass indicated seas in the range of 10-13 ft from 11N-13N roughly between 74W-77W. Wave model guidances suggest that these seas will subside slightly by Fri before subsiding more from over the upcoming weekend to early next week. Outside the fresh to strong trade coverage, generated NE-E swell producing seas of 8-11 ft will reach as far as 83W by late Thu night, and subside to around 9 ft Fri, then to 8-9 ft and change little through Mon. Scattered to numerous moderate to strong convection observed over the southwestern Caribbean S of 13N and W of 79W. This activity is enhanced by the eastern part of the Pacific monsoon trough that protrudes into the far southwestern Caribbean, and the southern portion of the tropical wave along 80W.
