An inland low pres area over Texas and upper level trough will support numerous showers and thunderstorms N of 20N W of 90W through at least tonight. Strong SW winds over this area supporting seas to 8 ft will decrease below 20 kt by tonight. A surface trough will develop along the Yucatan Peninsula during the late afternoons, then move westward across the southwestern gulf during the overnight hours accompanied by fresh east to southeast winds. Elsewhere, a ridge axis will extend from the SW N Atlantic waters across the east central Gulf supporting light to gentle winds over the eastern Gulf basin. ...CARIBBEAN SEA AND TROPICAL N ATLANTIC FROM 07N TO 19N BETWEEN 55W AND 64W... An eastern Caribbean tropical wave is accompanied by numerous showers and scattered thunderstorms N of 15N. This wave will continue across the eastern Caribbean through Wed, then the central Caribbean Thu, and the western Caribbean Fri and Sat. Another tropical wave will cross the tropical Atlantic waters through Wed, and then cross the Lesser Antilles Wed night. This wave will then cross the eastern Caribbean Thu and Fri with showers and isolated thunderstorms. Strong trades across the south- central Caribbean will diminish today. Winds will pulse to strong in the Gulf of Honduras tonight. High pressure building north of the region will bring about an expanding area of fresh to strong E to NE trade winds over the central Caribbean Thursday through the upcoming weekend. ...SW N ATLANTIC INCLUDING THE BAHAMAS... A weakening stationary front extending from 25N65W to 25N74W will gradually dissipate through tonight.
