A stationary front extending from NE Florida to across the NE Gulf to southern Mississippi will slowly dissipate through Wed. A surface trough will develop along the Yucatan Peninsula each afternoon, pushing W into the SW Gulf during the evening before dissipating. Winds are forecast to pulse to fresh with each trough passage into the SW Gulf, except increasing to fresh to strong Thu night with a tighter pres gradient. Otherwise, ridging extending from the Atlc will prevail across the basin, with mainly gentle to moderate anticyclonic winds. Seas will be 3 ft or less in the NE half of the basin, and 2 to 4 ft through Thu in the SW half building to 3 to 5 ft thereafter. ...CARIBBEAN SEA AND TROPICAL N ATLANTIC FROM 07N TO 19N BETWEEN 55W AND 64W... Fresh to strong trades will persist in the central Caribbean with winds near gale force at times in the S central Caribbean. Winds may increase to gale force briefly Fri night. The strongest winds are likely near the coast of Colombia as the pressure gradient tightens in the wake of a tropical wave with high pres building behind. Moderate to fresh trades will prevail elsewhere, pulsing to fresh to strong at times in the Gulf of Honduras where the pres gradient occasionally tightens. ...SW N ATLANTIC INCLUDING THE BAHAMAS...
