High pressure prevails over the forecast waters. Latest satellite derived winds and seas along with surface observations indicate gentle to moderate winds prevail. Seas are in the 3-5 ft range over the SE Gulf, and 103 ft elsewhere. The ridging will persist across the northern Gulf into early next week. A weak trough will develop over the Yucatan Peninsula during the evenings, move into the SW Gulf overnight, then dissipate each morning. An elongated through will develop across the E Gulf by late Mon and shift slowly NE. ...CARIBBEAN SEA AND TROPICAL N ATLANTIC FROM 07N TO 19N BETWEEN 55W AND 64W... A surface trough prevails over the western Caribbean. Latest satellite derived winds and seas along with surface observations indicate fresh to strong winds over the south central Caribbean, gentle to moderate winds over the western Caribbean, and moderate to fresh winds elsewhere of the Caribbean as well as the tropical N Atlc forecast zones. Seas are in the 6-8 ft range over the south central Caribbean, 2-3 ft over the western Caribbean, and 4-6 ft over the remainder of the Caribbean. Over the tropical N Atlc forecast zones, seas are in the 6-8 ft range. The trough will drift W and move inland across Central America today. Fresh to strong winds will prevail over the central Caribbean through Tue. ...SW N ATLANTIC INCLUDING THE BAHAMAS... A trough extends from near 31N71W to western Cuba.
