A stationary front extend from Tampa Bay Florida to 26N90W, where it becomes a warm front northwestward to inland southern Texas near Corpus Christi. Strong high pres is present to the north-northeast of the stationary/warm front. The stationary frontal portion will weaken through this morning, while the warm frontal portion lifts back north through tonight in advance of a cold front that is expected to reach the Texas coast early on Sun. This front will be preceded by a line of scattered showers and thunderstorms, capable of producing strong gusty winds. The cold front will reach from the Mississippi Delta to the Bay of Campeche on Sun night, from the Florida Big bend to the Yucatan Peninsula on Mon night, then slowly move southeastward on Tue to southeast of area by Wed evening. ...CARIBBEAN SEA AND TROPICAL N ATLANTIC FROM 07N TO 19N BETWEEN 55W AND 64W... Atlantic high pressure will maintain fresh to locally strong trades across the south-central Caribbean through early Sun. Strong nocturnal trades are then expected to resume on Sun night along the north coast of the South America. Northeast swell currently across the tropical waters east of the Leewards will slowly subside through this evening. A weakening cold front will move across the Yucatan Basin on Tue night, and wash out across the northwest Caribbean during the middle part of next week. Mainly gentle NW to N winds are expected behind the front before it washes out. ...SW N ATLANTIC INCLUDING THE BAHAMAS... A cold front extends from 31N66W southwest to 29N76W, where it becomes stationary to Cape Canaveral Florida. The cold front portion will become stationary E to W along 26N by tonight. Remnants of this front will lift back north on Sun. Near gale force southeast flow will develop north of the Bahamas on Mon to the east of a surface low that will shift eastward across the southeastern United States. Gale conditions in E to SE flow are expected Mon night and Tue just N of the forecast waters the SE United States coast.
