A cold front extends southwest from north Florida to 24N96W then is stalling south to Veracruz Mexico. The front will weaken across the southern gulf waters this afternoon, and then gradually dissipate tonight into Fri. A ridge will extend from the Florida Big Bend to southern Texas on Fri, then retract east on Fri night in advance of a second cold front entering the far northwest waters late Fri night. This second front will stall from southwest Florida to Veracruz Mexico on Sun, with remnants of the front lifting rapidly northeast on Sun night and Mon as a third cold front reaches the northern coastal waters. Further south, a thermal trough will develop over the Yucatan Peninsula during the afternoons, drift west across the eastern Bay of Campeche during the overnight hours, and dissipate over the southwest gulf waters by late each morning. ...CARIBBEAN SEA AND TROPICAL N ATLANTIC FROM 07N TO 19N BETWEEN 55W AND 64W... Fresh to locally strong nocturnal trades will continue along the northwest coast of Colombia through Mon night. Fresh to locally strong easterly trades are forecast to resume across the Gulf of Honduras on Sat night. A ridge from Bermuda to Fort Pierce Florida will continue to retract east today allowing a cold front to enter the far northwest waters. The cold front will extend from Bermuda to the Bahama Channel this evening, then stall from 28N65W to the northern Bahamas on Fri, and gradually dissipate through Sat as a ridge redevelops from Bermuda to central Florida. Fresh to locally strong southerly flow forecast north of the ridge on Sat ahead of a second cold front moving into the northwest waters on Sat night.
