Strong high pressure ridging from the western Atlantic into the western Gulf will maintain fresh to strong SE return flow through Thu morning when a cold front is forecast to enter the NW Gulf. The range of seas is 5 to 7 feet, except in the western Gulf between 91W and 95W where seas build up to 8 ft. Winds and seas will diminish Thu night as the pressure gradient across the basin decreases. The front will reach from the Florida Big Bend to the central Bay of Campeche Fri morning, then weaken from central Florida to the Yucatan Peninsula Fri night. High pressure will build over the SE CONUS in the wake of the front supporting NE moderate to fresh winds through Sat morning. ...CARIBBEAN SEA AND TROPICAL N ATLANTIC FROM 07N TO 19N BETWEEN 55W AND 64W... High pressure in the SW N Atlantic will support fresh to strong trades in the south-central Caribbean through Saturday with seas ranging from 8 to 12 ft. Seas of 4 to 7 ft will dominate elsewhere. Winds along the NW coast of Colombia will pulse to near-gale force each night through Fri night except for minimal gale expected Wed night through Thu morning. Large N to NE swells will propagate into the Caribbean passages Tue night through Fri morning, including the Windward Passage and the Mona Passage. Seas are expected to build up to 8 ft. Otherwise, fresh to strong winds will develop in the Gulf of Honduras Wed night continuing through Fri morning. Undersea volcano Kick em Jenny, north of Grenada near 12.18N 61.38W, is in a state of unrest. The government of Grenada advises mariners to observe a 5 km or 3.1 nm exclusion zone around Kick em Jenny.
