A cold front extends from the near Florida panhandle to Tampico Mexico. Latest satellite derived winds and seas along with surface observations indicate gentle to moderate winds prevail across the forecast waters. Seas are in the 3-4 ft range over the NE Gulf with 1-3 ft seas prevailing elsewhere. The front will shift SE across the forecast waters, moving SE of the area by early Wed. High pressure will build in the wake of the front. ...CARIBBEAN SEA AND TROPICAL N ATLANTIC FROM 07N TO 19N BETWEEN 55W AND 64W... Latest satellite derived winds and seas along with surface observations indicate fresh to strong winds over the south central Caribbean, reaching near gale force off the coast of Colombia. Elsewhere, gentle to moderate winds prevail across the remainder of the Caribbean as well as the tropical N Atlc forecast zones. Seas are in the 6-9 ft range over the south central Caribbean, and 3-5 ft elsewhere across the Caribbean. Over the tropical N Atlc forecast zones, seas are in the 5-7 ft range. High pressure north of the region will continue to support fresh to locally strong trades across the south central Caribbean the next several days. Winds will reach near gale force along the NW coast of Colombia during the overnight hours. Undersea volcano Kick em Jenny, north of Grenada near 12.18N 61.38W, is in a state of unrest. The government of Grenada advises mariners to observe a 5 km or 3.1 nm exclusion zone around Kick em Jenny.
