High pressure prevails over the NE Gulf. Latest observations indicate gentle to moderate winds in the western Gulf, and light to gentle winds over the eastern Gulf. Seas are 4-5 ft over the SW Gulf, 1-3 ft in the NE Gulf, and 3-4 ft elsewhere. High pressure will continue over the forecast waters through Saturday then retreateastward. This will allow a cold front to move into the NW Gulf on Monday. The front will extend from the Florida panhandle to Veracruz Mexico on Tuesday. ...CARIBBEAN SEA AND TROPICAL N ATLANTIC FROM 07N TO 19N BETWEEN 55W AND 64W... Latest observations indicate fresh to strong winds in the south central Caribbean, gentle to moderate winds over the remainder of the Caribbean, and moderate trade winds in the tropical N Atlc. Seas are 7-8 ft in the south central Caribbean, 4-5 ft elsewhere in the Caribbean, and 7-8 ft over the tropical N Atlc. Fresh to strong winds will continue across the south central Caribbean through Sun night.
