Fresh northerly winds currently observed across the entire Gulf of Mexico will gradually clock to the south across the northwest waters overnight as a ridge develops north to south across the central gulf waters. The ridge will shift east becoming orientated from the Florida Big Bend to Veracruz Mexico by Fri evening as southerly return flow spreads east across the entire Gulf of Mexico ahead of the next cold front moving into the northern waters late Sat night. This cold front will race across the gulf waters on Sun and Sun night passing through the Straits of Florida late Mon with strong post-frontal northerly winds on Sun and Sun night. ...CARIBBEAN SEA AND TROPICAL N ATLANTIC FROM 07N TO 19N BETWEEN 55W AND 64W... Northerly swell, in the form of 7 to 9 ft seas, currently propagating south through the northeastern Caribbean passages, and through the tropical waters east of the Lesser Antilles, will gradually subside from the north through Fri night. Fresh to strong trades will continue across the entire area east of 80W, except increasing to near gale force during the overnight hours along the northwest coast of Colombia, with the associated seas building to as high as 13 ft downstream near 13N73W. Moderate northerly winds are expected across the northwest Caribbean tonight, becoming fresh on Fri, then clocking to the southeast on Sat and Sat night ahead of a cold front passing through the Yucatan Basin around sunrise on Mon. The cold front will slow along a position from east Cuba to the Gulf of Honduras on Mon night. ...SW N ATLANTIC INCLUDING THE BAHAMAS...
