A cold front from central Florida to just N of Veracruz Mexico will move south of the area tonight. High pres will build in the wake of the front. Strong winds currently behind the front will become confined to the SW Gulf by tonight. Seas are peaking near 9 ft over the western Gulf today, and will diminish below 8 ft on Thu morning. The next cold front will move into the northern waters Sun morning, reaching the far southeast waters Mon. Additional strong northerly winds are expected behind this front. ...CARIBBEAN SEA AND TROPICAL N ATLANTIC FROM 07N TO 19N BETWEEN 55W AND 64W... Large northerly swell propagating south through the northeastern Caribbean passages, and through the tropical waters east of the Lesser Antilles, will gradually subside through the remainder of this week. Fresh to strong trades will prevail across the south- central Caribbean through the upcoming weekend. These winds will reach the largest extent of areal coverage this weekend as high pressure builds north of the region. There is a chance for nocturnal winds near the coast of Colombia to briefly reach gale force Sat and Sun night. ...SW N ATLANTIC INCLUDING THE BAHAMAS... Large northerly swell will slowly subside across the open waters through the end of the week. A cold front is moving offshore NE Florida this morning, with near gale force to minimal gale conditions developing north of 28N east of the front today. The gale force winds will only last briefly, with winds dropping below minimal gale south of 31N tonight. The front will reach from Bermuda to Central Cuba Thu morning, and then from 27N65W to Hispaniola Fri morning. A second cold front will move east across the waters north of the Bahamas on Thu, and merge with the first cold front across the waters N of Puerto Rico late Fri.
