Generally fair weather prevails across the basin with only patches of clouds moving quickly across the area. A weak cold front will move into the NW Gulf late tonight, then stall and weaken from the FL panhandle to NE Mexico Sun through Mon night. High pressure will build across the region Tue. Moderate to fresh return flow is expected to the south of the front, with seas of 4-6 ft dominating much of the offshore waters. ...CARIBBEAN SEA AND TROPICAL N ATLANTIC FROM 07N TO 19N BETWEEN 55W AND 64W... Fair weather conditions prevail across the basin. The only area with a few showers is located south of Hispaniola and Cuba mainly north of 17N between 73W-80W. Abundant dry air in the mid-to- upper levels of the atmosphere is expected to limit significant thunderstorms from developing. High pres N of the area will support fresh to strong trade winds east of 80W through this morning. Winds and seas will gradually diminish today through Tue night, as high pressure to the north slowly weakens. However, expect strong pulses along the coast of Colombia each night through mid- week due to nocturnal influences. Seas of 10-11 ft can be expected associated with the strongest winds. ...SW N ATLANTIC INCLUDING THE BAHAMAS... Strong surface high pressure centered near Bermuda and dry air in the mid and upper-levels are supporting fair weather and moderate to fresh winds across the subtropical west and central Atlantic waters this morning. A cold front will move off the SE coast of the U.S. on Mon, then become stationary along 28N through Tue, with high pressure building N of the front.
