A weak cold front will stall east to west across the northern and northwest waters on Sat, then retreat northwest on Sun night into Mon. A thermal trough will develop over the western Yucatan Peninsula during each afternoon, drift west across the eastern Bay of Campeche during the overnight hours, and then dissipate over the southwest Gulf waters by late each morning. ...CARIBBEAN SEA AND TROPICAL N ATLANTIC FROM 07N TO 19N BETWEEN 55W AND 64W... Strong to near gale force trades are expected across the central and southwest Caribbean through the weekend, with minimal gale force conditions along the northwest coast of Colombia, with seas building to as high as 17 ft near 12N76W. The gale winds should diminish briefly during the afternoons, and develop again each evening. Fresh to locally strong trades are forecast elsewhere across the Caribbean, including the north-central passages.
