A nearly stationary front extending from the Florida Panhandle to the W Bay of Campeche, will slowly drift westward and weaken into a trough as winds over the far SW Bay of Campeche W of the front and S of 21N subside. The trough will then linger over the SW Gulf through Wed night. Strong trade winds will persist over the Caribbean E of 80W, including the Windward and Atlc passages, as well as the waters E of Lesser Antilles through Wed. Winds will remain near minimal gale force near the coast of Colombia through Sat night. Winds will be strongest tonight and Wed night in response to strong high pres over the western Atlc. Fresh to locally strong winds will affect the Gulf of Honduras at night. Winds over all but the central Caribbean will subside Thu and Fri as low pres moving E from the United States mainland weakens the ridge over the western Atlc. A ridge crossing the waters along 27N will remain in place through Wed night as a cold front stalls over the far NE waters. High seas N of the Bahamas will fall below 7 ft by Thu as long period N to NE swell subside.
