A cold front is approaching the NW Gulf waters. Latest surface observations indicate gentle to moderate winds prevail across the area. Seas are in the 1 to 3 ft range. The cold front will move into the northwest Gulf waters early Wed, followed by strong northeast flow briefly across the northwest waters on Wed afternoon through early Wed night. The cold front will stall along 25N on Thu, then lift back north across the northern waters on Fri and Sat. ...CARIBBEAN SEA AND TROPICAL N ATLANTIC FROM 07N TO 19N BETWEEN 55W AND 64W... Latest surface observations depict strong to near gale winds prevail over the south central Caribbean, fresh to strong winds over the north central Caribbean, and moderate to fresh winds prevailing elsewhere. The strong to near gale force trades are expected to continue across the south- central Caribbean this week, except for nocturnal pulses to gale force along the northwest coast of Colombia. Fresh to strong trades are forecast elsewhere across the central Caribbean, including the north- central passages, through Fri when these conditions will spread across the east Caribbean. Fresh to locally strong trades, accompanied by large east swell, will continue across the tropical waters through Sat. ...SW N ATLANTIC INCLUDING THE BAHAMAS... A stationary front extends from 31N63W to the Straits of Florida. Latest surface observations indicate moderate to fresh winds over the forecast waters S of 21N and W of 60W, fresh to strong winds S of 22N and E of 60W, and gentle to moderate elsewhere. Seas are in the 7-10 ft range E of 60W, 3-5 ft off the SE coast of the U.S., 6-7 ft elsewhere outside the Bahamas, and 1-3 ft W of the Bahamas. The stationary front will dissipate through mid week. A cold front will move off the northeast Florida coast on Wed night and stall from Bermuda to southeast Florida on Thu night.
