A cold front extending from the Florida Panhandle to weak 1021 mb low pressure near 27N94W to the Texas/Mexico border will stall over the eastern Gulf Sat, then lift northward as a warm front over the western Gulf through late Sat. Fresh to strong northerly flow N of the boundary this morning will diminish early Sat. A new weak cold front will move into the N central and NE Gulf by Sun afternoon, shifting SE of the area by early Mon. Southerly flow ahead of the front will briefly increase to fresh to strong in the NE Gulf late Sat into early Sun. High pres ridging will dominate thereafter with mainly moderate return flow across the basin. ...CARIBBEAN SEA AND TROPICAL N ATLANTIC FROM 07N TO 19N BETWEEN 55W AND 64W... High pressure N of the area will support nocturnal gale force winds along the NW coast of Colombia this morning, with fresh to near gale force thereafter as the pressure gradient relaxes some. Seas up to 13 ft will subside slightly by the afternoon. The pressure gradient will tighten again by late Sat with nocturnal gale conditions resuming again on through early next week. Otherwise, mainly moderate to locally fresh trades will prevail across the basin, occasionally increasing to fresh to strong across the approach to the Windward Passage and in the lee of the Dominican Republic. In the Tropical N Atlantic, moderate trades will increase to fresh early next week as the pressure gradient tightens with strengthening high pressure. Seas currently at 5-7 ft will build 7-10 ft in fresh NE swell as the winds increase. ...SW N ATLANTIC INCLUDING THE BAHAMAS... A cold front will move off the NE coast of Florida later today, reaching from Bermuda to South Florida by early Sat, then stalling along 25N Sat night. Fresh to strong northerly flow will follow the front by the evening, spreading southward in the wake of the front through the weekend. Seas of 4-7 ft will build to 7-10 ft behind the front. The front will then lift N of the area late Sun ahead of another cold front moving off the NE Florida coast Sun night. The second cold front will reach from Bermuda to South Florida by early Tue before stalling then lifting N through mid week.
