A cold front currently extends SW from Central Florida to near 23N88W then becomes stationary to the Bay of Campeche. The cold front will move SE of the Gulf waters this evening leaving a NW to SE orientated trough across the far SW waters to meander through early Sat, then lift N as a warm front with a surface low developing along the front near 27N90W on Sat night. The newly formed surface low will move E on Sun, reaching the Florida Big Bend on Sun night, while dragging a cold front across the Central Gulf waters. Near gale to minimal gale conditions are forecast SW of the stationary trough through Thu evening. Strengthening high pressure in the wake of todays front will produce strong NE winds across the SW Gulf waters this afternoon, with these conditions shifting E across the E Gulf waters on Wed night, and continuing through early Sat, with strong to near gale force winds surrounding the surface low on Sat night into Sun. ...CARIBBEAN SEA AND TROPICAL N ATLANTIC FROM 07N TO 19N BETWEEN 55W AND 64W... Strong to minimal gale force trade winds are forecast along the the NW coast of Colombia during the overnight hours through Sun night. A cold front will move slowly SE across the NW Caribbean this afternoon, then stall and gradually dissipate from Central Cuba to Belize through Fri. Strengthening high pressure in the wake of the front will produce fresh to strong NE winds across the NW Caribbean by late Thu, with these conditions spreading E across the NE Caribbean on Fri night through Sat. Moderate to fresh trades will continue across the tropical Atlc waters E of the Windwards through Fri, with fresh to strong NE winds forecast on Fri night through Sun night.
