A cold front will move into the western Gulf Thursday and merge with the trough before stalling and dissipating from near the Florida panhandle to Tampico, Mexico Friday and Saturday. ...CARIBBEAN SEA AND TROPICAL N ATLANTIC FROM 07N TO 19N BETWEEN 55W AND 64W... A broad trough prevails over the western Caribbean. Latest surface observations indicate fresh to strong winds off the coast of Nicaragua, as well as over the south central Caribbean. Moderate to fresh winds prevail elsewhere across the Caribbean as well as the tropical N Atlantic forecast zones. Seas are in the 4-7 ft range off the coast of Nicaragua as well as the south central Caribbean, and 3-5 ft elsewhere across the Caribbean. Seas are in the 5-6 ft range over the tropical N Atlantic waters. The trough will continue to prevail over the next several days.
