A cold front is moving across the SE Gulf. Latest surface observations indicate gentle to moderate winds over the SE Gulf, moderate to fresh winds elsewhere W of the cold front and light to gentle winds E of the front. Seas are in the 6-8 ft range over the SW Gulf, and 3-5 ft range elsewhere. The cold front will shift E of the area today. High pressure will build across the Gulf waters in the wake of the front. A weak cold front will move into the northern waters Sunday, but will not progress very far into the area before dissipating by Monday. Another cold front is expected to move into the NW Gulf midweek. ...CARIBBEAN SEA AND TROPICAL N ATLANTIC FROM 07N TO 19N BETWEEN 55W AND 64W... A surface trough continues to prevail over the W Caribbean. Latest surface observations indicate moderate to fresh winds W of the trough, except in the lee of Cuba where light to gentle winds prevail. Gentle to moderate winds prevail over the Caribbean waters E of the trough, as well as the tropical N Atlc forecast waters. Seas in the 3-5 ft range prevails over much of the Caribbean, except for the lee of Cuba where 1-3 ft seas prevail. Over the tropical N Atlc forecast zones, seas are in the 5-6 ft range. A cold front will move into the NW Caribbean today, and will slowly dissipate over the weekend. ...SW N ATLANTIC INCLUDING THE BAHAMAS... Low pressure is emerging off the Florida coast in the NW waters. Latest surface observations indicate fresh to strong winds over the NW waters, with light to gentle winds prevailing elsewhere. Seas are in the 6-8 ft range over the NW waters, 4-6 ft elsewhere outside the Bahamas, and 1-2 ft W of the Bahamas. The area of low pressure will shift N of the area today. Associated cold front will move across the forecast waters through the weekend before stalling early next week.
