Moderate and fresh NE winds persist over the south central Gulf this morning, between a trough moving across the northwest Caribbean and high pressure centered over the western Florida Panhandle, with seas up to 5 ft. These winds and seas will diminish through the late morning as the trough moves farther W. Light breezes and slight seas persist over the NE Gulf near the center of the high pressure. Gentle to moderate winds and 2 to 4 ft persist elsewhere. SE return flow will increase briefly tonight and Mon ahead of lower pressure forming over Texas. A cold front will move off the coast of Texas late Wed, followed by strong northerly winds and seas building to at least 7 ft over the northwest Gulf through Thu as the front sags south and reaches a position from the Big Bend area of Florida to near the mouth of the Rio Grande. ...CARIBBEAN SEA AND TROPICAL N ATLANTIC FROM 07N TO 19N BETWEEN 55W AND 64W... Moderate to fresh NE winds following a trough over the northwest Caribbean will diminish through the morning. Light to gentle winds prevail elsewhere W of 75W, with gentle to moderate trades and 3 to 4 ft seas E of 75W. High pressure building into the western Atlantic will maintain moderate trades from the tropical N Atlantic into the central Caribbean through mid week, with local and brief pulses to 20 kt along the South American coast at night. ...SW N ATLANTIC INCLUDING THE BAHAMAS... Weak 1013 mb low pressure is centered east of the northern Bahamas near 25N75W will drift NE through Mon then dissipate.
