Moderate SE winds cover the area from 90W westward. Fresh-to- strong easterly winds cover the area that is from 23N northward from 86W eastward. A cold front is forecast to move from the Texas coast into the NW corner of the area, during the hours after sunrise. The cold front will be along the line from the FL Big Bend, to the central Gulf of Mexico, to the SW corner of the area near 18.5N95W around sunset on Monday. Gale-force northerly winds are forecast in the coastal areas of Veracruz Mexico, starting around noon on Monday. The gale-force winds are forecast to last for 24 hours or so. Areas of 20-25 knot winds will develop in the NW corner during the late night hours of Sunday and early morning hours of Monday, with the front in the central Gulf. Areas of 20 to 25 knot winds will develop in the western coastal sections of Mexico, within 90 nm to 150 nm of the coast from 25N southward, during the early morning hours of Monday into Tuesday afternoon, as far as 92W. The area will expand as far as 26N and to 89W, from Tuesday afternoon until the early morning hours of Wednesday. Other areas of 20 to 25 knot winds will develop in the NE corner, and spread southeastward with time, from sunset on Tuesday until just after sunrise on Wednesday. ...CARIBBEAN SEA AND TROPICAL N ATLANTIC FROM 07N TO 19N BETWEEN 55W AND 64W... A tropical wave currently is moving through the NW corner of the area. Scattered moderate to isolated strong rainshowers are from 21N southward from 82W westward. The wave is forecast to move into Central America during the next 24 hours. The wave is forecast to dissipate by 48 hours. Easterly winds, with speeds ranging from 20 to 25 knots, span a large part of the area that goes from 18N/19N southward between 62W and Central America. Sea heights that range from 8 feet to 11 feet also are in this area. The 20 to 25 knot winds will continue until nearly noon on Monday. The 8 foot sea heights will continue until nearly noon on Tuesday. Northerly 20 to 25 knot winds are forecast to move through the Yucatan Channel, into the far NW corner of the area, reaching the Gulf of Honduras, from sunrise on Wednesday until noon on Wednesday. 20 to 25 knot winds will be in the coastal waters from the Gulf of Honduras to 85W, along the coast of Honduras, from sunset on Wednesday until sunset on Thursday. ...SW N ATLANTIC INCLUDING THE BAHAMAS... Strong high pres building over the W Atlc will maintain fresh to locally strong E to SE winds, especially S of 22N through Monday. A cold front is forecast to move off the SE Coast Tuesday morning. Strong S winds and seas building to 8 ft can be expected N of 30N W of 75W. The front could be accompanied by showers and thunderstorms capable of producing strong gusty winds and rough seas. The front will weaken as it heads SE Thu and Thu night.
