A stationary front extending SW from the western Fl Panhandle to the mouth of the Mississippi will dissipate by tonight. The trough over the western Gulf from near Brownsville Texas to the Bay of Campeche near 18N94W will fill by Saturday evening. A surface trough extending from western Cuba near 22N83W to near Miami Florida to 27N76W to 30N69W will move W through the Fl Straits and SE Gulf waters through Sat night, reaching along 88W on Sat evening, then slow its westward progress on Sun. This trough will be accompanied by a fresh NE-E-SE wind shift, while enhancing convection. The next cold front is forecast to reach along the TX coast late Sun night. The front will race SE to a position from the Fl Big Bend to 23N93W to the Bay of Campeche late Mon, then stall from Tampa Bay to 25N91W to 18N93W by Wed morning. Fresh N winds immediately behind the front are forecast to increase to a strong N breeze along the W-central Gulf coast early Mon, then to strong to near gale force NW to N winds within 90 nm of the Mexican coast west of 94W and 98W on Monday afternoon and evening. ...CARIBBEAN SEA AND TROPICAL N ATLANTIC FROM 07N TO 19N BETWEEN 55W AND 64W... A tropical wave currently S of 13N along 82W will move W across Central America on Sat with a slight enhancement of convection. Fresh trades are expected along the NW coast of Colombia today. The pressure gradient will tighten as fresh to locally strong trades develop tonight and on Sat night with seas building to between 8 and 9 ft. A second tropical wave currently S of 20N between 54W- 57W is accompanied by considerable convection, and a fresh to strong NE-E-SE wind shift. The wave is forecast to move into the E Caribbean late tonight, and reach along 75W on Mon with fresh trades continuing E of the wave axis. ...SW N ATLANTIC INCLUDING THE BAHAMAS... A surface trough extending NE from western Cuba to near Miami Florida to near 30N69W will continue moving W today and enter the Gulf of Mexico tonight and Sat all the while accompanied by a fresh NE-E-SE wind shift and SCT RW/ISOL TS. Light to moderate E winds expected across the entire discussion area on Sat into Sun. A surface trough will bring fresh winds and 8 ft seas to the waters S of 26N and E of 67W on Sunday night and Mon. The trough will lift N on Monday night, taking the winds and seas with it.
