A stationary front extending SW from the western Fl Panhandle to 26N94W to 20N96W will gradually dissipate from the N through Sat night leaving a residual surface trough across the SW gulf waters through Sun. Expect only moderate NW winds S of the trough today. A surface low is currently analyzed over central Cuba, with a trough extending both NE and SW of its center. This system will move W through the Fl Straits and SE Gulf waters through Sat night, reaching along 88W on Sun. This trough will be accompanied by a fresh NE-E-SE wind shift, while enhancing convection. The next cold front is forecast to reach along the Tx coast late Sun, with the front then racing E to a position from the Fl Big Bend to 23N93W to the Bay of Campeche late Mon, and then stalling from Tampa Bay to 25N91W to 18N93W on Tue night. Fresh N winds immediately behind the front are forecast to increase to increase to a strong N breeze along the W-central Gulf coast late Mon, and a strong to near gale force NW flow within 90 nm of the Mexican coast between 94W and 98W on Tue. ...CARIBBEAN SEA AND TROPICAL N ATLANTIC FROM 07N TO 19N BETWEEN 55W AND 64W... A tropical wave currently S of 16N along 81W will move W across Central America on Sat with a slight enhancement of convection. Fresh trades are expected along the NW coast of Colombia today, with the pressure gradient then tightening with fresh to locally strong trades forecast tonight and on Sat night with seas building to 8 ft. A second tropical wave currently S of 20N between 54W-57W is accompanied by considerable convection, and a fresh NE-E-SE wind shift. The wave is forecast to move into the E Caribbean on Sat, and reach along 72W on Mon with fresh trades continuing E of the wave axis. ...SW N ATLANTIC INCLUDING THE BAHAMAS...
