A surface trough extends across the central Gulf. Latest satellite derived winds and seas along with ship, buoy, and CMAN data depict light to gentle winds prevail over the area. Seas are in the 1-3 ft range. The surface trough will dampen out today as high pressure builds across the northern forecast waters. A thermal trough will develop over the Yucatan Peninsula each afternoon into the early evening hours. The trough will move W-NW during the overnight hours, and dissipate over the SW Gulf by late each morning. ...CARIBBEAN SEA AND TROPICAL N ATLANTIC FROM 07N TO 19N BETWEEN 55W AND 64W... Latest satellite derived winds and seas along with ship, buoy, and CMAN data depict moderate to fresh winds over the central Caribbean, reaching strong off the coast of Colombia. Light to gentle winds prevail over the western Caribbean, moderate to fresh winds over the eastern Caribbean, and gentle to moderate over the tropical north Atlantic forecast zones. Seas are in the 4-6 ft range over the central Caribbean, 4-5 ft over the eastern Caribbean, 2-3 ft over the western Caribbean, and 5-7 ft over the tropical north Atlantic forecast zones. High pressure will build north of the area early next week, which will tighten the pressure gradient over the area and increase winds and seas. ..SW N ATLANTIC INCLUDING THE BAHAMAS...
