An NE to SW ridge extends along 31N then S across the western waters along 94W. A broad low level inverted trough analyzed 86W will shift W to along 91W on Sat, then wash out as a surface high develops over the NE gulf on Sat night with a ridge building W to the Tx coastal bend on Sun night. The result will be light to gentle winds throughout the waters n of 22N on Mon with gentle to moderate SE return flow over the SW waters on Tue. An inverted thermal trough will develop over the Yucatan Peninsula during the late afternoons into the early evening hours, and move W-NW during the overnight hours, and dissipate over the SW Gulf by late each morning. Expect a moderate NE-E-SE wind shift tonight with seas to 3 ft along the trough. ...CARIBBEAN SEA AND TROPICAL N ATLANTIC FROM 07N TO 19N BETWEEN 55W AND 64W... Expect strong nocturnal NE trades only within 180 nm of the NW coast of Colombia, and across the Gulf of Venezuela through Sun night, with guidance indicating a more significant event on Mon night, and strong E winds between 71W and 81W. A tropical wave currently along 72W will continue W at 15 kt with most of the associated convection enhanced n of the Caribbean. A second tropical wave S of 19N over the E Caribbean along 62- 63W is moving at an estimated 22 kt, and will reach the Central Caribbean on Sat night. Considerable convection accompanies the wave. ..SW N ATLANTIC INCLUDING THE BAHAMAS... The N extension of a tropical wave is enhancing consider convection across the SE Bahamas. The associated upper support will shift W in phase with the lower level wave so convection should continue through at least tonight but added in weather grids through the Old Bahama Channel for the next few days.
