An E to W ridge will meander from the Fl Big Bend to the NE Tx coast through Thu. The ridge will re-orientate, and extend SE from the NE Tx coast to the Yucatan Peninsula on Fri, then shift westward while weakening on Sat. An inverted trough is moving W- NW around the southern periphery of the ridge, and enhancing TSTMS over the NE and N-central gulf waters. Expect this trough to dissipate tonight. An inverted thermal trough will develop over the Yucatan Peninsula during the late afternoons into the early evening hours, and move W-NW during the overnight hours, and dissipate over the SW Gulf by late each morning, all the while accompanied by a moderate to fresh NE-E-SE wind shift, and seas to 5 ft. A surface trough will move W across the E gulf on Fri and reach the central gulf on Sat. ...CARIBBEAN SEA AND TROPICAL N ATLANTIC FROM 07N TO 19N BETWEEN 55W AND 64W... A tropical wave currently along 76W will continue W reaching the NW Caribbean on Wed night and Thu accompanied by a brief NE-E moderate-fresh wind shift. Atlc high pressure to the N of the area will gradually weaken this week, resulting in diminishing trades across the S-central Caribbean. Expect strong nocturnal NE trades only within 60 nm of the NW coast of Colombia, and across the Gulf of Venezuela late this week. A second tropical wave along 57W, is accompanied by scattered showers, and will pass through the tropical waters E of the Leewards today, and merge into an area of disturbed weather just N of the Virgin Islands on Wed. ..SW N ATLANTIC INCLUDING THE BAHAMAS... An E to W ridge extending from Bermuda to extreme NE Fl is shifting W as a broad low level trough currently between 67W-75W shifts W accompanied by SCT RW/ISOL TS, which should move across the Central Bahamas on Wed, and reach the Bahama Bank on Thu. Expect moderate NE flow, and 2-4 ft seas, within 240 nm W of the trough, and fresh E-SE winds, and 4-6 ft seas, within 300 nm E of the trough.
