A frontal trough over the se Gulf of Mexico will begin to lift n tonight into early Sat as a weak warm front, but is expected to transition to inverted trough over the ne gulf waters late Sat, and gradually wash out on Sat night. By then, strengthening high pressure will result in a band of fresh e to se winds from the nw waters to near the n approach to the Yucatan Basin from Sat night to late Sun when fresh to locally strong se flow and 4 to 7 ft seas are forecast. The pressure gradient will relax early next week with moderate to fresh return flow and 3 to 6 ft seas expected. ...CARIBBEAN SEA AND TROPICAL N ATLANTIC FROM 07N TO 19N BETWEEN 55W AND 64W... A tropical wave analyzed over the sw Caribbean will move inland Central America tonight. A second tropical wave will pass through the Windward Islands this evening, reach the central Caribbean late in the upcoming weekend, and pass through the sw Caribbean early next week. Atlc ridging north of the area will maintain moderate to locally fresh trades across the waters s of 15N to the e of 78W through tonight, except for strong ne flow along the nw coast of Colombia tonight. The pressure gradient will tighten on Sat with the affected area of fresh winds shifting nw across the central waters and across the w Caribbean on Sat night. Strong nocturnal winds will begin to develop on Sat night across the Gulf of Honduras. ...SW N ATLANTIC INCLUDING THE BAHAMAS... A frontal boundary extends sw from 31N74W through a 1012 mb surface low analyzed at 29N77W to the Port of West Palm Beach Fl. Scattered tstms continue within 180 nm e of the low and front, and are depicted in the weather grids. The low will lift ne of the area early this afternoon with the front stalling early tonight, and then drifting n as a weak warm front late tonight. The front will weaken to a trough on Sat, and continue drifting to the nw and finally move inland ne Fl on Sun evening. An e to w ridge currently along 25N e of the Bahamas today will shift n to along 28N on Sat night, extend w to the Port of Fort Pierce Fl on Sun, then shift n to along 31.5N on Tue. Fresh southerly flow across the northern waters e of the front will diminish to light winds tonight as the front stalls.
