A thermal trough will develop late each afternoon over the Yucatan Peninsula, and shift wnw across the southwestern gulf waters, generally to s of 24.5N between 90W and 93W, during the overnight and early daylight hours, and gradually lose identity along about 94W by late each morning. Expect a ne-e-se 15-20 kt wind shift along the trough axis, with a brief surge of 20 to 25 kt se winds, and 6 to 8 ft seas developing along a line from near 22N89W to 26N92.5W early each night through Sat night. A surface high will develop over the ne gulf during the afternoons along an e to w ridge that will extend across the northern gulf waters through early Sun. The ridge will shift s across the Fl Straits early next week. A trough, or weak surface low will develop over the sw gulf on Fri from the remnants of TD TWO-E over the EPAC. Expect a broad trough over the the gulf generally to the s of 27N along 94W on Sat evening through late Sun. ...CARIBBEAN SEA AND TROPICAL N ATLANTIC FROM 07N TO 19N BETWEEN 55W AND 64W... Atlc high pressure will support fresh to strong e trades across the central and sw Caribbean, including the Gulf of Venezuela, through the upcoming weekend with the affected area shrinking to within 210 nm of the n coast of Colombia early next week. The resultant e swell in the form of 6 to 8 ft seas will reach the border of Nicaragua and Honduras. Strong nocturnal e to se trades forecast across the Gulf of Honduras through Mon night with the northern extent reaching near 19N86W. ...SW N ATLANTIC INCLUDING THE BAHAMAS... An e to w ridge will meander along 28.5N today while retracting e allowing a weak trough to dip into the nw waters later this afternoon. The ridge will build w again along 28N to 29N tonight where it then meander through Sun night.
