A thermal trough will develop late each afternoon over the Yucatan Peninsula, and shift w across the southwestern gulf waters, generally to s of 24N between 90W and 93W, during the overnight and early daylight hours, and gradually lose identity along about 94W by late each morning. Expect a ne-e-se 15-20 kt wind shift along the trough axis, except 20 to 25 kt along the n coast of the Yucatan Peninsula where seas will build to 6 ft. A surface high will meander over the far ne gulf waters through Wed night with fresh southerly return flow, and 3 to 5 ft seas, expected over the w and sw gulf waters through Mon night, except for an embedded swatch of strong se winds expected along the Mexico coast near 21N97W during the evenings. Moderate se return flow forecast over the western gulf on Tue through Wed night. Light to moderate anticyclonic flow forecast e of 88W through Wed night. ...CARIBBEAN SEA AND TROPICAL N ATLANTIC FROM 07N TO 19N BETWEEN 55W AND 64W... Atlc high pressure will support strong e trades, with 7-11 ft seas, across the central Caribbean through Sun morning, with these conditions developing again on Tue as Atlc high pressure restrengthens. Moderate to locally fresh trades, and 3 to 6 ft seas, forecast over the western and eastern portion of the discussion area through Wed night.
