A thermal trough will develop late each afternoon over the Yucatan Peninsula, and shift w across the southwestern gulf waters, generally to s of 23N between 90W and 93W, during the overnight hours, and gradually lose identity along about 94W late each morning. Expect a ne-e-se 15-20 kt wind shift along the trough axis, with seas building to 6 ft, except fresh to strong conditions are forecast along the trough tonight with seas building briefly to 7 ft. A ridge extends w across the northern gulf waters. A trough will develop over the Fl Peninsula during the late afternoons, then moving w and offshore during the evenings, passing across the eastern waters to the s of the ridge, and dissipating across the n-central gulf waters by sunrise. These troughs are accompanied a moderate e to se wind shift, and a few showers. Expect moderate easterlies across the gulf this week, except increasing to a fresh breeze across the Fl Straits and across the the nw waters during the overnight hours. ...CARIBBEAN SEA AND TROPICAL N ATLANTIC FROM 07N TO 19N BETWEEN 55W AND 64W... Strong ne nocturnal winds, and 7-9 ft seas, are expected within 150 nm of the nw coast of Colombia through Mon afternoon. Strong ne pulses will continue along the s coast of Hispaniola, and in and downstream of the Windward Passage through Thu. Expect seas to only build to 7 ft due to the short duration of the pulses. Large n swell in the form of 7-8 ft seas will arrive at the Mona Passages late tonight, reach the ne Caribbean Passages on Mon, and continue to spread s across the tropical waters and Leeward passages on Mon night, across the Windwards on Tue, reach the n coast of S America on Wed, and then subside on Wed night with seas forecast to less than 8 ft on Thu. ...SW N ATLANTIC INCLUDING THE BAHAMAS...
