This system is located about 100 miles southwest of Kailua-Kona, Hawaii, moving west northwest around 12 mph. The National Hurricane Center in Miami, Florida is issuing advisories on Hurricane Gilma, located about midway between the southern tip of the Baja California peninsula and the Hawaiian Islands. Gilma is expected to move into the Central Pacific Hurricane Center's area of responsibility Monday night or early Tuesday morning. The National Hurricane Center in Miami, Florida is also issuing advisories on Tropical Storm Hector, located well west-southwest of the southern tip of the Baja California peninsula.
