For the central North Pacific...between 140W and 180W:

Approximately 1600 miles southeast of the Hilo, Hawaii:
A broad area of low pressure will likely form during the next 
couple of days well southeast of the Hawaiian Islands.  
Environmental conditions appear conducive for gradual development 
thereafter, and a tropical depression could form late this weekend 
or early next week while the system moves westward. 
* Formation chance through 48 hours...low...10 percent.
* Formation chance through 7 days...medium...50 percent.

Elsewhere, no tropical cyclones are expected during the next 7 days.
