DISCUSSION AND OUTLOOK
----------------------
At 500 AM HST (1500 UTC), the center of Tropical Depression Twelve-E
was located near latitude 11.8 North, longitude 143.1 West. The
depression is moving toward the west near 9 mph (15 km/h), and this 
general motion is expected to continue for the next couple of days.
An increase in forward speed is expected over the weekend. 
 
Maximum sustained winds are near 30 mph (45 km/h) with higher gusts.
Some strengthening is forecast during the next 48 hours, and the
depression may become a tropical storm on Friday.
 
The estimated minimum central pressure is 1007 mb (29.74 inches).
