The core of the hurricane is moving nearly parallel to, but offshore of, the east coast of central Florida. A sustained wind of 43 mph (69 km/h) and a wind gust of 57 mph (93 km/h) were recently reported at a weather station at Sebastian Inlet. At Indian River, Florida, a sustained wind of 38 mph (61 km/h) and a wind gust of 55 mph (89 km/h) were recently reported.
