DISCUSSION AND OUTLOOK
----------------------
At 500 AM HST (1500 UTC), the center of Tropical Depression Miriam
was located near latitude 26.1 North, longitude 143.9 West. The
depression is moving toward the northwest near 14 mph (22 km/h), 
and this general motion is expected to continue into Monday.
 
Maximum sustained winds are near 35 mph (55 km/h) with higher gusts.
Additional weakening is forecast, and Miriam is expected to become
a post-tropical remnant low later today, followed by dissipation
late Monday.
 
The estimated minimum central pressure is 1006 mb (29.71 inches).
