DISCUSSION AND OUTLOOK

At 200 PM PDT (2100 UTC), the center of Tropical Depression Gilma
was located near latitude 15.8 North, longitude 134.3 West. The
depression is moving toward the west-northwest near 10 mph (17 km/h)
and this motion is expected to continue tonight with a turn to the
west over the next few days.

Maximum sustained winds are near 35 mph (55 km/h) with higher gusts.
Gradual weakening is expected, and Gilma is forecast to become a
remnant low on Sunday, and dissipate by the middle of next week.

The estimated minimum central pressure is 1008 mb (29.77 inches).
