DISCUSSION AND OUTLOOK
----------------------
At 800 AM PDT (1500 UTC), the center of Hurricane Fabio was located
near latitude 17.2 North, longitude 120.5 West.  Fabio is moving
toward the west-northwest near 15 mph (24 km/h), and this general
motion is expected to continue through Saturday.

Maximum sustained winds have decreased to near 100 mph (155 km/h)
with higher gusts.  Additional weakening is forecast, and Fabio is
expected to become a tropical storm on Thursday.  Fabio is then
likely to degenerate into a remnant low on Saturday.

Hurricane-force winds extend outward up to 35 miles (55 km) from the
center, and tropical-storm-force winds extend outward up to 175
miles (280 km).

The estimated minimum central pressure is 970 mb (28.65 inches).
