DISCUSSION AND OUTLOOK

At 900 AM MDT (1500 UTC), the center of Tropical Storm Aletta was
located near latitude 14.7 North, longitude 107.1 West.  Aletta is
moving toward the west near 7 mph (11 km/h) and this general motion
is expected to continue for the next 2 to 3 days.

Maximum sustained winds are near 45 mph (75 km/h) with higher gusts.
Strengthening is forecast during the next 48 hours, and Aletta
could become a hurricane by late Thursday.

Tropical-storm-force winds extend outward up to 105 miles (165 km)
from the center.

The estimated minimum central pressure is 1000 mb (29.53 inches).
