DISCUSSION AND 48-HOUR OUTLOOK

At 800 AM PDT (1500 UTC), the center of Tropical Depression
Fifteen-E was located near latitude 15.4 North, longitude 122.8
West. The depression is moving toward the west near 5 mph (7
km/h). A slow westward to west-northwestward motion is expected
through early Friday, followed by turn toward the west-southwest
Friday night and Saturday.

Maximum sustained winds are near 35 mph (55 km/h) with higher gusts.
No change in strength is expected through tonight, but the
depression could become a tropical storm on Friday.

The estimated minimum central pressure is 1005 mb (29.68 inches).
