DISCUSSION AND 48-HOUR OUTLOOK

At 200 AM PDT (0900 UTC), the center of Tropical Depression
Fifteen-E was located near latitude 14.9 North, longitude 119.4
West. The depression is moving toward the west near 9 mph (15 km/h),
and this general motion is forecast to continue during the next
couple of days with a decrease in forward speed.

Maximum sustained winds are near 35 mph (55 km/h) with higher gusts.
Some strengthening is forecast, and the system could become a
tropical storm later today, or tonight.

The estimated minimum central pressure is 1004 mb (29.65 inches).
