At 800 AM PDT (1500 UTC), the center of Tropical Storm Irwin was
located near latitude 15.1 North, longitude 124.9 West. Irwin
appears to be moving toward the north near 2 mph (4 km/h), and
a gradual turn toward the north-northwest with an increase in
forward speed is expected to begin on Sunday.

Maximum sustained winds remain near 60 mph (95 km/h) with higher
gusts. Some fluctuations in intensity are likely today, but
a gradual weakening should begin on Sunday.

Tropical-storm-force winds extend outward up to 70 miles (110 km)
from the center.

The estimated minimum central pressure is 998 mb (29.47 inches).
