DISCUSSION AND 48-HOUR OUTLOOK

At 800 AM PDT (1500 UTC), the center of Tropical Storm Greg was
located near latitude 14.6 North, longitude 133.2 West.  Greg is
moving toward the west near 12 mph (19 km/h).  A west-northwestward
or northwestward motion at a slower forward speed is expected
during the next couple of days.

Maximum sustained winds are near 45 mph (75 km/h) with higher gusts.
Weakening is forecast during the next 48 hours, and Greg is
expected to become a tropical depression by early Wednesday.

Tropical-storm-force winds extend outward up to 80 miles (130 km)
to the northwest of the center.

The estimated minimum central pressure is 1003 mb (29.62 inches).
