DISCUSSION AND 48-HOUR OUTLOOK

At 200 PM PDT (2100 UTC), the center of Tropical Depression
Fourteen-E was located near latitude 13.3 North, longitude 136.5
West.  The depression is moving toward the west-northwest near 12
mph (19 km/h).  A general west-northwestward motion is expected to
continue for the next couple of days with a decrease in forward
speed.

Maximum sustained winds are near 35 mph (55 km/h) with higher gusts.
Some strengthening is forecast during the next 48 hours, and the
depression is expected to become a tropical storm by tonight.

The estimated minimum central pressure is 1007 mb (29.74 inches).
