DISCUSSION AND 48-HOUR OUTLOOK

At 800 PM PDT (0300 UTC), the center of Tropical Storm Kay was
located near latitude 21.8 North, longitude 115.9 West.  Kay is
moving toward the west-northwest near 7 mph (11 km/h) and a turn
toward the west is expected by Tuesday.

Maximum sustained winds are near 50 mph (85 km/h) with higher gusts.
Gradual weakening is forecast during the next 48 hours, and Kay is
likely to become a post-tropical remnant low by Tuesday.

Tropical-storm-force winds extend outward up to 45 miles (75 km)
from the center.

The estimated minimum central pressure is 1000 mb (29.53 inches).
