DISCUSSION AND 48-HOUR OUTLOOK

At 200 AM PDT (0900 UTC), the center of Tropical Storm Ivette was
located near latitude 15.8 North, longitude 133.6 West. Ivette is
moving toward the west near 10 mph (17 km/h).  A turn toward the
west-northwest is expected later today, with this motion continuing
through Sunday night.

Maximum sustained winds are near 60 mph (95 km/h) with higher gusts.
Ivette is moving into an area of unfavorable upper-level winds, and
little change in strength is expected through Sunday.  The storm is
forecast to weaken beginning Sunday night or Monday.

Tropical-storm-force winds extend outward up to 90 miles (150 km)
from the center.

The estimated minimum central pressure is 1001 mb (29.56 inches).
