DISCUSSION AND 48-HOUR OUTLOOK

At 200 AM PDT (0900 UTC), the center of Tropical Storm Georgette was
located near latitude 19.1 North, longitude 129.2 West.  Georgette
is moving toward the northwest near 6 mph (9 km/h), and a turn
toward the west-northwest followed by a turn toward the west is
expected over the next 48 hours.

Maximum sustained winds have decreased to near 40 mph (65 km/h) with
higher gusts.  Continued weakening is forecast during the next
48 hours, and Georgette is likely to become a remnant low within
the next day or so.

Tropical-storm-force winds extend outward up to 45 miles (75 km)
from the center.

The estimated minimum central pressure is 1006 mb (29.71 inches).
