DISCUSSION AND 48-HOUR OUTLOOK

At 200 PM PDT (2100 UTC), the center of Tropical Storm Georgette was
located near latitude 18.4 North, longitude 128.6 West.  Georgette
has been nearly stationary for the past several hours.  A motion
toward the northwest is expected to begin later this afternoon or
tonight and continue through Wednesday.

Maximum sustained winds have decreased to near 60 mph (95 km/h) with
higher gusts.  Additional weakening is forecast during the next
48 hours, and Georgette could degenerate to a remnant low pressure
area by Wednesday night.

Tropical-storm-force winds extend outward up to 45 miles (75 km)
from the center.

The estimated minimum central pressure is 996 mb (29.42 inches).
