DISCUSSION AND 48-HOUR OUTLOOK

At 800 PM PDT (0300 UTC), the center of Hurricane Georgette was
located near latitude 14.2 North, longitude 123.1 West. Georgette is
moving toward the west near 9 mph (15 km/h).  The hurricane is
expected to turn toward the northwest at a slightly slower rate of
speed by Monday.

Maximum sustained winds are near 75 mph (120 km/h) with higher
gusts. Some additional intensification is anticipated through
Sunday, followed by a gradual weakening.

Hurricane-force winds extend outward up to 25 miles (35 km) from the
center and tropical-storm-force winds extend outward up to 70 miles
(110 km).

The estimated minimum central pressure is 993 mb (29.33 inches).
